14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire,

A flame has a way of holding your attention so that you keep looking at it. Similarly, these eyes hold your attention, and in the process they examine you, so as to make you feel that their owner knows everything there is to know about you.
