This psalm underlines the great care that the Lord has for his own. His children are the apple of his eye, his treasured possession. He is zealous for his own, and will vindicate those who face injustice and hostility. And so believers, already in this life but more fully in the afterlife, can gaze upon the Lord with satisfaction, confident in his everlasting care.
