Several terms in this verse, particularly wondrously show,
steadfast love,
take refuge,
and your right hand
are also found in Exodus 15:7, Exodus 15:11–13, the account of the exodus from Egypt. Just as the Lord had delivered Israel from the Egyptians by wondrous acts of his, so he will deliver David from his adversaries.1 David is asking for a personal exodus deliverance.
7 Wondrously show your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand.
