1. Psalm 17:6 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What does the command to “hear my words” recall from earlier in the psalm?

Psalm 17:6 (ESV)

6 I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.

David has avoided the ways of the violent because he listens to God’s words (Psalm 17:4). Now he is calling God to hear his word.
