1. Psalm 17:6 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

How does the text show David’s urgency?

Psalm 17:6 (ESV)

6 I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me; hear my words.

David starts out in this verse with an emphatic declaration. Literally, he says, It is I who call on you. His urgency springs from his confidence that the Lord will answer him.
