25 “Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain and a way for the thunderbolt,

Just as one would dig a channel in order to direct the flow of water, so God has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain that normally fall in the autumn. Again, this testifies to the power and purpose with which God governs the earth.
