1. Romans 14:21 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Why is Romans 14:21 longer in the KJV than in the ESV?

Romans 14:21 (ESV)

21 It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble.

Many Greek manuscripts contain a more detailed description of the circumstances of the weaker believer. As such the KJV adds two clauses at the end of Romans 14:21: or is offended, or is made weak.1
