What does 2 Samuel 1:1–16 reveal about what God the Son does in my place and on my behalf?
God raises up a king who suffers the penalty which I deserve for my failure to honour God as the King of life. He also lives the perfect life in my place so that I can enjoy God’s favour. Because of what Jesus did, I can be forgiven for all my sins and receive the blessing of the Holy Spirit instead of the curse that I have merited by my crimes.
