The book of Acts recounts the spread of the early church and the manner in which Christ works to take the gospel from Jerusalem to Samaria and finally to the ends of the world (Acts 1:8). Your sermon from Acts 14:19–28 will emphasize the fact that there are many hardships in the Christian life. Faith in Jesus Christ does not insulate or isolate us from all suffering, in fact it often brings extra suffering.
