7 if my step has turned aside from the way and my heart has gone after my eyes, and if any spot has stuck to my hands,

Job’s heart has always followed the path of God’s commands, rather than going after what his eyes saw (cf. 1 John 2:16). As a result, his hands are clean of injustice and corruption.
