Revelation of God the Father

Acts 14:1–18 (ESV)

1 Now at Iconium they entered together into the Jewish synagogue and spoke in such a way that a great number of both Jews and Greeks believed.

  • God is involved in human affairs: he bears witness to the word of his grace.

  • God is powerful: he works signs and wonders through Paul and Barnabas.

  • God is gracious: the gospel is the word of his grace.

  • God speaks: he reveals himself to men in special revelation as well as general revelation.

  • God is creator: he made the heavens and the earth and all that is in them.

  • God is sustainer: he upholds creation providing order instead of chaos.
