John Mark is the cousin of Barnabas (Colossians 4:10) and very possibly the young man mentioned in Mark 14:51–52. He will join Barnabas and Saul on their mission work in Cyprus and southern Galatia (Acts 12:25; Acts 13:5, Acts 13:13; Acts 15:37–39).1
12 When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.
