Greeks and Romans (Gentiles) did not believe in a bodily resurrection of the dead, thus there is a need for more clarification from Peter.1 Jesus was seen by other people in addition to the apostles ((Luke 24:33; 1 Corinthians 15:5–9); he also ate meals with them (Luke 24:30–35; Luke 24:36–43; Acts 1:1–4; John 21:1–25). These facts serve to underline the reality of the resurrection.2
