1. Acts 10:35 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What does it mean for God to accept men from every nation who fear him and do what is right?

Acts 10:35 (ESV)

35 but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.

This is a reference to those who submit to the Lord and worship him alone (see Deuteronomy 10:12). When it comes to enjoying God’s favour, your ethnic background is not significant. God’s attitude towards persons is not determined by external criteria such as race, appearance, nationality, or class.1
