What does the fact that Peter came without raising objections show about his previous way of thinking?
The fact that Peter mentions that he came without raising objections because the Lord has shown him that he must not call any man impure or unclean shows that he was not prepared for Gentile mission until he had the vision of the sheet descending with food upon it (Acts 10:9–16). The Lord has worked to prepare Peter so that Peter is willing to go to the house of a Gentile. The mind of Peter has been changed by the Lord when it comes to thinking about what is clean and unclean.
29 So when I was sent for, I came without objection. I ask then why you sent for me.”
