The Lord refers to Judah as his beloved.
This is an expression of the covenant relationship he has established with them, which included the blessing and privilege of having access to the Lord via the temple. But the Lord is now removing that blessing because they have done many vile deeds.
These vile deeds
refer to all the ways in which the nation has consistently broken the terms of the covenant relationship.
15 What right has my beloved in my house, when she has done many vile deeds? Can even sacrificial flesh avert your doom? Can you then exult?
