How do the Israelites regroup?

Judges 20:22 (ESV)

22 But the people, the men of Israel, took courage, and again formed the battle line in the same place where they had formed it on the first day.

In spite of the Israelites’ heavy loss, they push on. By the next day they close ranks and form the same battle line in the same place that they had done so on the first day.
