To what does "days" refer?

Hebrews 5:7 (ESV)

7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence.

It refers to days (plural), covering his earthly lifetime,1 and not just a certain event such as the wrestling in prayer at Gethsemane2,3 or the death struggle on Calvary.4,5
