Commentary on Luke 17:9 (Summary)

Luke 17:9 (ESV)

9 Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded?

For the third time Jesus poses a question to his apostles, to which the answer is completely clear. Of course, the master does not thank his servant for the work he has done on the land and fields, and for serving him at home. The slave has simply done his duty.
