Commentary on Deuteronomy 2:22 (Summary)

Deuteronomy 2:22 (ESV)

22 as he did for the people of Esau, who live in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites before them and they dispossessed them and settled in their place even to this day.

What was true for the Ammonites was also true for the Edomites: the Lord himself drove out the former inhabitants, the Horites, in favour of the Edomites.
