What does obedience to these commands reveal?

Leviticus 25:18 (ESV)

18 “Therefore you shall do my statutes and keep my rules and perform them, and then you will dwell in the land securely.

As the Lord concludes the discussion on the Jubilee year, he exhorts the nation to obey these rules and perform them. This provides a test to evaluate the Hebrews’ hearts. Obedience, in other words, is a test of faith to see if the Israelites will entrust themselves to God.
