How does the bread of the presence relate to the New Testament?
Leviticus 24:9 (ESV)
9And it shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place, since it is for him a most holy portion out of the LORD’s food offerings, a perpetual due.”
In the New Testament, Jesus demonstrated that he could provide bread for his people; but the real bread that they needed was food for their souls. He declared that he was the bread of life that the Father had sent (John 6:25–59).
