Leviticus 24:8 (ESV)

8 Every Sabbath day Aaron shall arrange it before the LORD regularly; it is from the people of Israel as a covenant forever.

Bread was presented to the Lord each Sabbath day. The opening phrase in Hebrew literally reads, on the Sabbath, on the Sabbath. This repetition denotes a regular performance or action. This must be carried out continuously without exception.
