When was the wave offering presented to the Lord?

Leviticus 23:11 (ESV)

11 and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, so that you may be accepted. On the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.

The exact timing of the wave offering is a matter of debate. The text itself says that it must take place on the day after the Sabbath. This could be a reference to the Feast of Unleavened Bread. In this sense, the wave offering could occur on the first or last day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It could also fall on the Sabbath day that falls within the festival. Jewish tradition rests on the last explanation.
