The New Testament highlights the sinless perfection of Christ using the image of a lamb without spot or blemish (1 Peter 2:22). Due to his sinless perfection, Jesus is the only acceptable sacrifice for sins. Currid writes, The perfect God requires a perfect sacrifice for imperfect man, and it is found in Jesus Christ.
