14A widow, or a divorced woman, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry. But he shall take as his wife a virgin of his own people,
The high priest must marry a virgin. This command is repeated twice in Leviticus 21:13 and Leviticus 21:14 for emphasis. Additionally, this young woman must be from among his own people.
