How should one treat their hired worker?

Leviticus 19:13 (ESV)

13 “You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

The hired man ought to be paid on the day of his labour. Many commentators understand this to mean that he is to be given his wages by sundown of the day on which he does the work (see Matthew 20:8).
