In his response to the Danites’ sarcasm, Micah has it out with them. And he is nearly incoherent with fury.1 Literally, he says, My gods that I have made for myself—you have taken! And the priest! And you have gone away! What do I have left? How can you say to me, What is the matter with you?
2 These are the words of a man so filled with anger that all he can do is burst out in accusation, broken syntax and all.
24 And he said, “You take my gods that I made and the priest, and go away, and what have I left? How then do you ask me, ‘What is the matter with you?’”
