God’s thoughts are so valuable and extremely overwhelming in number for us. God knows me inside out, but I do not know him in the same manner. We find a telling parallel in Isaiah 55:8–9: For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
And so, it behooves man to live in deep awe for this great and mighty God.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
