Psalm 139:7–12 continuously emphasizes that, wherever we may be, God is there. We cannot flee from his presence. He sees everything. This is bad news for those who are disobedient to him (see Amos 9:2–4), but it is a beautiful message for those who entrust themselves to him with a believing heart. How glorious it is to know and to experience that God is near (see Psalm 23:4).
