Peace is not only the absence of conflict, but also wholeness and prosperity, a state of normality consistent with God’s will (1 Corinthians 14:33).1 Christ makes peace possible between man and God, Jew and Gentile (Ephesians 2:14, Ephesians 2:15, Ephesians 2:17), and it should be eagerly sought in the Christian community.2 Similar to faith, hope, and love, love, joy, and peace are another triad often grouped together in the New Testament (John 14:17; John 15:9–11).3
