Why does he want to hear her voice?

Song of Solomon 8:13 (ESV)

13 O you who dwell in the gardens, with companions listening for your voice; let me hear it.

The man, too, longs to hear her voice, just as he did in Song of Solomon 1:7. He is as captivated by her charms as ever.1
