What does Paul mean with the phrase, ‘Mark my words!’?

Galatians 5:2 (ESV)

2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.

Paul wants to draw special attention to the words which he is about to utter. When he continues by saying I, Paul, he may also be asserting his apostolic authority.1
