When is it good to be made much of ("be zealous," NIV)?

Galatians 4:18 (ESV)

18 It is always good to be made much of for a good purpose, and not only when I am present with you,

Zeal unaccompanied by knowledge is not pleasing to God (Romans 10:2–4).1 It is good to be zealous when you are zealous for the truth of the gospel—the kind that was demonstrated by Paul.
