What is the life lived in the body?

Galatians 2:20 (ESV)

20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Though Christ dwells within believers by his Spirit, Christians still live in a body of flesh. We know something of the age to come, but sin has not been eradicated and our sinful natures have not yet been removed.1 This new life in Christ is not marked or defined by the observance of old covenant purity laws but by faith in Jesus,2 believing dependence on the Son of God.3
