What is the significance of “the cloth of scarlet” covering the utensils?
Numbers 4:8 (ESV)
8Then they shall spread over them a cloth of scarlet and cover the same with a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.
This covering for the utensils belonging to the table of the Presence show that they occupy higher rank than the utensils belonging to the other items, which were only placed in a covering of goatskin.
