1. Galatians 1:11 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Why does Paul mention the idea that the gospel was man made?

Galatians 1:11 (ESV)

11 For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man’s gospel.

With these words, Paul likely responds to an accusation from the Judaizers that his gospel was influenced by his (human) ideas, something man made up. He asserts that this is not the case and will go on to testify that his message has a divine origin (Galatians 1:12).1
