Is there any significance in the order in which the four directions are listed?
Revelation 21:13 (ESV)
13on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
We read of east, north, south, and west, in that order. Scripture lists the four directions in every possible order. There is no known reason for the order we find here.
