1. Song of Solomon 4:11 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

Why is the fragrance of the woman's garments like the fragrance of Lebanon?

Song of Solomon 4:11 (ESV)

11 Your lips drip nectar, my bride; honey and milk are under your tongue; the fragrance of your garments is like the fragrance of Lebanon.

The fragrance of Lebanon also links this section to Song of Solomon 4:8 and is a symbol elsewhere in the Old Testament of the land that is blossoming with abundant prosperity (see Hosea 14:7).1
