Commentary on Ecclesiastes 1:7 (Summary)

Ecclesiastes 1:7 (ESV)

7 All streams run to the sea, but the sea is not full; to the place where the streams flow, there they flow again.

Another way the author emphasizes the recurring cycle of life: When you pay attention to rivers and smaller streams, you will notice that they always flow in the same direction. A lot of water flows into the sea and yet the sea never overflows.
