The Philistine people follow the lead of the lords of the Philistines by praising their god, saying, Our god has given our enemy into our hand, the ravager of our country, who has killed many of us.
These words give us insight into the minds of the Philistines as to what they think of Samson: he is our enemy,
the ravager of our country,
and the one who has killed many of us.
