1. Judges 16:17 (ESV)
  2. Exposition

What is significant about how the narrator introduces Samson’s response?

Judges 16:17 (ESV)

17 And he told her all his heart, and said to her, “A razor has never come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God from my mother’s womb. If my head is shaved, then my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak and be like any other man.”

The way the narrator introduces Samson’s final response is different from the previous three times, where it was And he/Samson said to her… (Judges 16:7, Judges 16:11, Judges 16:13). This time around, it reads, And he told her all his heart.
