30 he will not depart from darkness; the flame will dry up his shoots, and by the breath of his mouth he will depart.

The wicked stand under God’s judgment. For this reason, their wealth and their lives cannot possibly last. Again, Eliphaz is cruelly associating Job’s suffering with God’s judgment of sin.
