The final three verses conclude the theological theme of the Code of Cleanliness in Leviticus 11–15. The purpose of these chapters is to prevent Israel from defiling the tabernacle, the dwelling place of God. The verb “separate” (nzr
) is used almost exclusively to refer to ritual separation.
