What is significant about the oil being put on the healed person's right ear lobe, right hand thumb, and right big toe?
After sprinkling the oil before the Lord, the priest turns to the healed person and smears the oil on the lobe of the right ear, the thumb of his right hand, and the big toe of his right foot. These are the same places that the blood had been smeared.
17 And some of the oil that remains in his hand the priest shall put on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.
