Why does Samson’s father go down to the woman?

Judges 14:10 (ESV)

10 His father went down to the woman, and Samson prepared a feast there, for so the young men used to do.

The mention of Samson’s father going down to the woman implies that he and his wife had returned home at some point after Judges 14:5. Now Samson’s father goes down to Timnah on his own, likely to finalize the wedding arrangements. This also proves to be the last recorded act of Manoah in the narrative.
