Why is it important that this lion was “young”?

Judges 14:5 (ESV)

5 Then Samson went down with his father and mother to Timnah, and they came to the vineyards of Timnah. And behold, a young lion came toward him roaring.

The note about the lion being “young” points to it being in its prime, as opposed to an older lion with declining strength. An agitated lion in its prime is a fearsome sight.
