In 1 Peter 2:13 – 3:7 Peter had spoken about how the parties in different types of relationships (slaves/master, husband/wife) ought to respond to opposition. Now he turns his focus to all the followers of Jesus, offering some practical directives on how to correctly respond to their persecution.1
