Where was Cush located?

Zephaniah 3:10 (ESV)

10 From beyond the rivers of Cush my worshipers, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.

“Cush” is traditionally assumed to refer to the region south of Egypt, that is, Nubia or northern Sudan, referred to as “Ethiopia” by classical authors.
