Leviticus 13:1–59 (ESV)

1 The LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

Purity and holiness once again form the main interest of the biblical author. As such, the doctrine of sanctification will surround the main theological idea. The one who is declared to be ritually unclean is barred from the presence of God as well as the covenant people of God. It is only through the required sacrifice that such a person is restored to fellowship.
